Do you have white plastic patio chairs? This is an easy way to add color to your outdoor area.

I love earth tones.  My walls are probably a bit too dark for most, it just gives me a cozy feeling.  When I see rooms that are white and light pastels I love them.  But my own experience has shown me that if I want to relax I will be drawn into a darker room.  I am telling you this because I had to fight the urge to decorate my newly easily accessible patio, ( another post) with varying shades of beiges and dark greens.  Then I thought I could go with black and white, think damask fabrics and that is an elegant look.  However, I went with decorating the outside unlike any room inside, and that means bright colors!

This is the photo I kept going back to.

In my post about the plastic side tables I talk about how plastic is the easiest material to spray paint.  A local thrift store had three plastic chairs in the standard issue military green for $5.  And my neighbor was throwing away two white side tables and three white plastic chairs and I was more than happy to save them from the landfill.

Okay so my chairs don’t have sand beneath them and an ocean view but I can’t help but feel happy looking at these bright colors.
